Powell River is home to about 15,000 people (22,000 in the area from Lund to Saltery Bay) and is located on the mainland 135 km (88 miles) Northwest of Vancouver BC. Jervis Inlet separates Powell River from the rest of the Sunshine Coast.  To the west lies the Strait of Georgia and Vancouver Island.
